Shoebill Campervan Insurance Overview

  • Insurance is not included in the base price of your rental.
  • To rent one of our vehicles, you will need to purchase personal vehicle insurance covering rentals of utility vans, campervans, utility vehicles weighing less than 4,500 kg, or other additional insurance such as travel insurance (e.g., endorsement 27). You will also need to purchase our additional insurance to benefit from this insurance.
  • Shoebill Campervan is not required to recognize the renter's personal vehicle insurance policy. We recommend that you fully understand your coverage.
  • If you do not select one of our additional insurance options, you will have chosen "None" protection and will be fully responsible for damages in the event of a claim. Shoebill Campervan reserves the right to charge your credit card on file for any damages.
  • If the renter chooses "None" insurance, they agree to immediately pay for any damage caused to the vehicle. Shoebill Campervan will issue an invoice to the renter, which they can then submit to their insurer for reimbursement.
  • The renter is 100% responsible for damage to the vehicle in the event of an accident during the rental, in accordance with our rental agreement.
  • None, Basic, and Standard insurance do not cover windshield chip damage or replacement costs.
  • The tenant agrees to pay the uninsured portion of the loss (deductible) as well as the applicable taxes directly to Shoebill Campervan at the end of the rental.
